Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBO)

The Wound Care Center has the ability to offer patients hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) services. HBO therapy has become the treatment of choice in several disease processes, such as, radiation skin necrosis, refractory osteomyelitis, radiation cystitis, compromised surgical flap, and diabetic foot ulcers. Your body is not designed to accept oxygen through the skin or directly onto a wound. Oxygen has to go through the circulatory system. HBO therapy is one way to increase the amount of oxygen in the blood.
