We at the Wound Care Center truly believe that biofilm kills more people each year than cancer. That’s why we put so much time and effort into researching biofilm itself and biofilm-caused diseases. We want to do our part to bring light to such a deadly phenomenon and its role in the wound-healing process. We have spent countless hours reading articles, conducting clinical trials, and publishing articles that show how biofilm deters wound healing and how disrupting the biofilm community (through debridement, topical treatments, and antibiotics) is imperative in order to heal the wound.
